McArthur’s Raid
Zigmund Misiak will present on the McArthur’s Raid, in 1814 up to the Grand River, Six Nations Territory. British reinforcements were on their way from Ancaster. McArthur, had he crossed with his 700 mounted militia, would have burned Ancaster on his way to get the British at Burlington Heights. This aggressive act by him was the last campaign during the War of 1812 north of the Great Lakes and the deepest penetration into Upper Canada during the entire war.

Robin McKee will present insight into the 1812 War and what took place before the Stoney Creek Battle and the repercussions of this battle.  He is a local historian with great interest in cemeteries.

Mike Street will present his collection of Ancaster postcards including almost as many images taken between 1906 and 1920 as all the cards printed since that era.

International Harvester
Ron Bulmer will present an overview of the International Harvester Company and its local plant in Hamilton. Ron Bulmer has lived in Ancaster for 42 years, and worked for IH/Case IH for over 35 years.He has been involved in many community organizations and projects
